You can now sit in the bath and watch HD movies.
Sony has
announced a new smartphone that can be used in the shower or bath
without the risk of damage, reports BBC News. The Xperia Z can also
record HDR (high dynamic range) video, a facility borrowed from its
camera division. The Android-powered device was unveiled at the Consumer
Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The handset has a 5in (12.7cm)
screen and is said to be capable of being submerged in water of up to
one metre (3.3 ft) in depth for 30 minutes. It features a 13 megapixel
camera and 4G LTE data connectivity, a Micro SD slot, and a 1080p x
1920p high-definition screen that borrows technology from Sony’s Bravia
TV division to enhance video playback.
